CAS Journal CSTR Application and Exchange Sub-Forum Held in Fuzhou

On December 5, the Sub-Forum on CSTR Application Seminar and Exchange, part of the 33rd Academic Annual Meeting of the CAS Periodical Editorial Research Society, was successfully held in Fuzhou. The event provided a platform for in-depth discussions on the potential and pathways for CAS-affiliated journals to advance open sharing and innovative development through the adoption of CSTR.
The sub-forum was chaired by Ma Xinyong, director of the department of scientific literature information and periodicals under the bureau of basic science and technology capacity, Chinese academy of sciences. Representatives from the computer network information center (CNIC) of the Chinese academy of sciences (CAS) and the Beijing Zhongke Journals Publishing Co., Ltd. delivered thematic reports.
Participants engaged in thorough exchanges regarding CSTR's functionalities, such as citation tracking and open sharing. There was unanimous agreement on the significant role of CSTR in strengthening intellectual property protection and facilitating resource sharing and utilization. The application value of CSTR as key infrastructure in the scholarly publishing ecosystem was widely recognized. Looking ahead, CSTR will continue to enhance its services for journals, further supporting open sharing of journal resources, improving knowledge service systems, and advancing scientific communication.
