Recently, the National Standardization Administration announced through its official website the "National Standard of the People's Republic of China Announcement (No. 24, 2025)," officially releasing the national standard GB/T 46207-2025 Coding specification for scientific data identification. This standard falls under the purview of the National Technical Committee 486 on Science and Technology Platforms (TC486) and is administered by the Ministry of Science and Technology. Based on GB/T 32843-2016 Science and technology resource identification, this standard aims to promote the unified registration, location, and sharing of scientific data. It fully considers current practical application needs, further refining and standardizing the internal scientific data identifier assigned the type code "11" within the science and technology resource identification framework. The standard defines the coding principles, structure, elements, specific schemes, and application requirements for scientific data identifiers. It is applicable to processes such as the registration, retrieval, location, utilization, and open sharing of scientific data.

The standard was led by the Computer Network Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and developed collaboratively with 28 institutions, including the National Science and Technology Infrastructure Center, the National Space Science Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the National Institute of Metrology. It provides application guidance for scientific data centers and repositories in implementing scientific data identifier coding.
